LEVEL UP

The Addy-award winning “Level Up” campaign, was filmed by Cox Enterprises after Ideabar was named as the agency of record for Palm Beach State College. This shoot took place in the span of two days, where I managed the pre-production and production of the shoot for the D.P.

For this shoot, I enlisted the help of my colleagues Meghan, Kara, and Lindsay as extras. I also enlisted the help of students from personal connections I have made to serve as extras for certain scenes. The shoot had a lot of working parts with only two weeks of preparation but it was actually a wonderful challenge and was happy to help the DP and film crew make this shoot a success.

     Areas of execution:

  • Developed schedule and shot list

  • Confirmed casting with students and talent

  • Attained wardrobe for scrubs, firefighter gear, football gear, cap and gowns, and all props

  • Secured Locations with campus security

  • Created the illusion of a football field with the help of facilities

  • Created the illusion of a corporate office

  • Booked catering

  • Booked makeup artist

  • Secured medical equipment

One of the hallways at the college served as the location for a hospital wing. Having worked on a video with the Center of Excellence in Medical Simulation, I was able to secure medical equipment to use for the background.

Although, PBSC has various sports teams, it does not have a football team.

That's okay, I was able to create the illusion of a football field with the help of a Student activities staff member. Spray painted one of the intramural fields, moved a bleacher from one location to another, get some coolers. Done!

Having built a relationship with the instructors of the Fire Academy prior to this, I was able to secure uniforms for our talent and schedule time for filming that did not interfere with any classes taking place. Created the look of a corporate office and call center by working together with different professors and departments for access to their workspace.

This commercial shoot was an amazing experience as it allowed me to get creative and collaborate with others in order to make a successful product. Go Panthers!
